Case Study: Political Campaign Position Papers

Project Overview

Client

Frankie Robbins campaign

Project

Congressional campaign

Scope

Research, produce, and edit persuasive and informative digital and print campaign materials

Project Brief

The target audience was voters in the 3rd Congressional District of Oklahoma. The project was to audit and update campaign materials by editing existing materials, researching new topics, and writing new content.

 Problem

Mr. Robbins ran for office as a Democrat in a heavily Republican district. He wanted his campaign materials to attract issue voters regardless of party affiliation.

My Role

Research, write, update, or edit campaign materials, including

  • research issues and write new web content, speeches, press releases, and talking papers
  • audit and edit existing web content, speeches, press releases, and explainers

Process

Mr. Robbins and I audited his website and policy content and discussed updates, additions, and deletions from his prior campaign. I researched all topics and updated old and wrote new position papers and web content, along with updating his stump speech. I also edited content as I updated.
