Case Study: Website Design & Content–Women’s March Oklahoma

Project Overview

Client

Women’s March on Washington–Oklahoma

Project

A website to provide up-to-date information for Oklahoma residents planning to participate in the Women’s March on Washington

Scope

Design, build, stand up, and frequently update a simple website, all in the space of 4 months

Project Brief

The client wanted the website to serve as the central information hub for anyone wishing to attend the Women’s March in Washington or any sister marches in Oklahoma.

The target audience was anyone interested in the march.

Problem

Create a platform for rapidly evolving information from the main march in Washington, DC and from sister marches around Oklahoma, primarily the march in the Oklahoma capitol, Oklahoma City.

My Role

I was responsible for the entire design, creation, and maintenance of the website, including closing closing it after the march. This included

  • copy and microcopy, which consisted of both research and curated information from the main march and sister marches
  • wireframes in various fidelities
  • iterations
  • final mockups
  • construction, updates, and maintenance in WordPress

Process

I met frequently with the team working to facilitate Oklahoma’s participation in the Women’s March on Washington, provided wireframes, and iterated based on feedback.

I updated the website as rapidly changing events evolved.
