All my work (15+ years) involves research and writing. Writing is innate to me – give me an assignment, and I can tell your story, with empathy, engagement, and understanding.
My particular expertise is writing and speaking in the client’s or brand’s voice and translating complex ideas into digestible content. That’s where the UX comes into writing: understanding (channeling) the client or brand and understanding (empathizing with) the audience the client or brand is speaking to.
Thanks for taking a look!
My UX writing experience ranges from microcopy to long-form web content for too many websites to count, as well as reviewing apps for content, design, and functionality. The samples below include both design and UX writing, from web content to microcopy.
I have also designed or redesigned and built 6 websites, reviewed and copyedited 3 websites, and designed or collaborated on 4 wikis. In each, I wrote or edited the copy.
This recreation: My work at USAA is proprietary, so this portfolio sample is a masked representation of one part of that work. I used the outline, flow, and design elements I created for the wiki but changed all content to remain compliant with USAA requirements.
The screens are on this password-protected page I can discuss as part of an interview.

I’m an editor as well as a writer and designer, so I can make sure your copy – microcopy to long-form – is written correctly.
My 15+ years of editing experience includes microcopy, app and website reviews, academic papers, novels, business reports, and more.
Editing is now a secondary (not primary) part of my work, but without editing, apps and websites go live with typos and grammatical errors, so here are just a few examples of my editing work.
